Anonymus 223 was the strategos of the Kibyrrhaiotai; in 678, after the Arab fleet (returning from its unsuccessful attempt to capture Constantinople) was partly wrecked by storms near Syllaion (in Pamphylia), he attacked and destroyed all the survivors: Zon. The title is probably anticipatory; the earliest reliable evidence for it is in 732; Oikonomides, Listes, p. 351.
