Anonymus 172 was a tourmarches of Peloponnesos; owner of a seal dateable to the ninth century: Panchenko, Katalog 462 = Bon, Le Péloponnèse byzantin, p. 193, no. 37. The name is lost but the title reads: τ..ρμ - χη Πελ. - .ονν, i.e. τουρμάρχῃ Πελοποννήσου.
