Anonymus 165 was a basilikos spatharios and hypatos; owner of a seal dateable to the sixth or seventh century: Schlumberger, Sig., p. 478, no. 12 (no facsimile). Obv.: eagle with wings upraised and a monogram of the owner's name (Schlumberger neither deciphers it nor prints the monogram). Rev.: βασιλικ[οῦ] σπαθ[αρίου] καὶ ὑπάτου. The seal was in Schlumberger's own collection.
