Anonymus 161 was a komes of the Fifth Schola of the Scholai; owner of a seal dateable to the eighth or ninth century: Schlumberger, Sig., p. 359, no. 1 (facsimile).Obv.: cruciform monogram of Θεοτόκε βοήθει with τω - σω - δου - λω in the corners. Rev.: .... - κομη.. - .ων σχολ' ς - .ολης πεμ. - της. The title reads: κόμητι τῶν σχολῶν σχολῆς πέμπτης. The name was on part of the seal that is lost.
