Anonymus 159 was a patrikios, basilikos protospatharios and domestikos of the basilikon exkoubiton; owner of a seal dateable perhaps to the ninth or tenth century: Schlumberger, Sig., p. 346, no. 1 (facsimile). Obv.: patriarchal cross with a legend, partly lost, apparently reading Θεηγου..καλονδιδου. .. Rev.: ...αι(?) - νω πατρικ' - β' α' σπαθ' και δ - ομεστκ τ' - β' εξκουβ'. The name apparently ended with the letters νος but the traces of earlier letters do not help to identify the name. The name and titles read: ...νῳ πατρικίῳ βασιλικῷ πρωτοσπαθαρίῳ καὶ δομεστίκῳ τοῦ βασιλικοῦ ἐξκουβίτου. The date proposed is uncertain and a later date is not excluded.
