Anonymus 147 was a patrikios, basilikos protospatharios and strategos of Sicily; owner of a seal dateable to the ninth century: Schlumberger, Sig., p. 215, n. 2 from p. 214, no. 7 (from Salinas, Sigilli diplomatici). The text as given by Schlumberger reads:- Obv.: cruciform monogram of Θεοτόκε βοήθει with τω - σω - δου - λω in the corners. Rev.: ......ρω πατ' β' α' σπαθ' και στρατ' Σικελ'. The name and titles read: ......ρῳ πατρικίῳ βασιλικῷ πρωτοσπαθαρίῳ καὶ στρατηγῷ Σικελίας. For similar seals, see Gray Birch, BMSeals 17740 and Mordtmann, Byz. Molybdoboullon IV, p. 149, n. 17. Possibilities for the name are Nikephoros and Theodoros. Cf.Winkelmann, Rangstruktur, p. 88. Cf. also Theodoros 104, whose seal resembles this one.
