Of Anonymus 143 s name only the letters λδια or λβια can be read; he was basilikos spatharios and strategos of Hellas; owner of a seal dateable to the eighth or ninth century: Schlumberger, Sig., p. 169, no. 13 = Konstantopoulos, JIAN 5, 42. Obv.: cruciform monogram of Κύριε βοήθει with τω - σω - δου - λω in the corners. Rev.: the text recorded by Schlumberger reads:- ...λδια...β' σ' και στρατ' Ελλαδ'. The name and titles read: ...λδια... βασιλικῷ σπαθαρίῳ καὶ στρατηγῷ Ἑλλάδος. Konstantopoulos read the letters of the name as ...λβια.... Line divisions are not given. Cf.
