Anonymus 140 was a Strategos of Thrace; owner of a seal dateable to the eighth or ninth century: Schlumberger, Sig., p. 123, no. 8 = Konstantopoulos, JIAN 5, 14. Obv.: cruciform monogram of Κύριε βοήθει with τω - σω - δου - λω in the corners. Rev.: +Α.....[σ]τρατ[ηγ]ω της Θ[ρᾳκ]ης. His name apparently began with the letter Α.
