Anonymus 88 was metropolitan bishop of Traianopolis; owner of a seal dateable between the mid seventh century and the mid eighth, possibly around the turn of the seventh and eighth centuries: DOSeals I 61.3 (VII/VIII) = Zacos and Veglery 935 (M VII/ M VIII) = Laurent, Corpus V 3, 1766 (L VII/E VIII). Obv.: Του μ - ητροπ - ολιτο - [υ], under a cross between two pellets. Rev.: Τραι - ανου[π] - ολεω - ς. No name was recorded on this seal, only the office. This entry was duplicated as Anonymus 429.
