Anonymus 46 was a monk at Akritas in 866; at the harbour of Akritas, when Michael III (Michael 11) returned from the expedition against Crete in 866, he rebuked the emperor Michae1 1 for killing Bardas (Bardas 5) and would have been executed (cf.
