Anonymus 45 was a komes (τις τοῦ κομήτων) who fought at the battle of Lalakaon (i.e. Poson); during the ensuing rout of the Arabs, he killed Amr 2 and brought his head to Petronas 5: Leo Gramm. 239, Georg. Mon. Cont. 825, cf. Ps.-Symeon 666. For Lalakaon, see Ostrogorsky, History, p. 227 with n. 4. The date was perhaps 864, soon after the baptism of the Bulgar ruler Boris 1.
