Anonymi 28 were the sons of Elpidios 2 and Anonyma 26; when their father Elpidios 2 disobeyed orders from the empress Eirene 1 to return from Sicily (in 781), Anonymi 28 were arrested with their mother Anonyma 26 and were beaten and tonsured and imprisoned in the Praitorion: Theoph. AM 6273 (780/781), cf. Zon. XV 10. 17-19 (ἡ Εἰρήνη θυμῷ ληφθεῖσα τὴν ἐκείνου γυναῖκα καὶ τοὺς παῖδας μαστίξασα).
