Anonymi 27 were two bishops (ἀρχιερεῖς) sent with an unnamed spatharios (Anonymus 636) by the empress Theodora (Theodora 2) and the iconophile council (in 843) to Mt Olympus in Bithynia to ask Ioannikios 2 his advice on the choice of the next patriarch of Constantinople after Ioannes 5; they returned to announce that his choice was Methodios 1: Vita Mich. Sync. 26.
