Anonymi 22 were enemies of the patriarch Photius (Photios 1) who made allegations against him to the kaisar Bardas 5; mentioned by Photios 1 in a letter to Bardas 5 asking him not to believe their lies: Photius, Ep. 8 (I 60ff. Laourdas-Westerink) (τοῖς συκοφάνταις).
