Anonyma 106 was the wife of Anonymus 38; after the death in battle of her husband, Anonyma 106 was left a widow to bring up their children in poverty; Anonyma 106 went to Constantinople to seek help and one day saw the emperor Theophilos 5 riding a horse which she knew had belonged to her husband; she blamed the emperor (Theophilos 5) for her husband's death and claimed the horse; Theophilos 5 allegedly investigated the matter and found that her claim was just; the horse had been stolen by a strategos, Anonymus 37; he was dismissed and Anonyma 106 and her children were given portions of his estate: Theoph.
