Anonyma 81 was the mother of Bryenas (Bryennios 4) and Ioannes 464; she was a devout lady (ἐν ὁσιότητι καὶ σταυροφόρῳ βίῳ); she died and was buried in the absence of her sons, and Theodore the Stoudite (Theodoros 15) wrote a letter of consolation to Bryennios 4: Theod. Stud., Ep. 509 (a. 821/826).
