Anonyma 77 was the wife of Anonymus 594; she suffered sexual abuse over a period from a member of the synkletos (Anonymus 231), who remained unpunished although her husband reported it to the eparchos (Anonymus 184); finally, he complained to the emperor Leo V (Leo 15), who saw that justice was done: Theoph. Cont. I 19 (p. 31), Genesius I 16, Zon. XV 20. 19-20. The anecdote is told to illustrate Leo 15's love of justice.
