Anonyma 45 was a prostitute living near the harbour at Syracuse, close to a tower in which lived Gregory the Decapolite (Gregorios 79) during his stay in Syracuse; he persuaded her clients not to visit her and converted her from her way of life, so that her house was transformed into a house of virtue (τὸ πρὶν πορνεῖον σεμνεῖον εὐαγὲς τῇ ἑαυτοῦ προσεδρείᾳ διέδειξεν): Ignatius, Vita Greg. Dec. 13.
