Anonyma 42 was a woman (γυναικὸς) whose difficulties in childbirth were eased by a relic of the late patriarch of Constantinople, Ignatios 1; in thanks for her safe deliverance of a son (βρέφος), she gave him the name Ignatios (Ignatios 11): Nicetas, Vita Ignatii 564A-C.
