Andreas 27 was basilikos hypatos and doux of Naples (Neapolis); owner of a seal dateable to the ninth century: Schlumberger, Sig., p. 225, no. 3 = CIG IV 8993. The name and titles read: Ἀνδρέᾳ βασιλικῷ ὑπάτῳ καὶ δουκὶ Νεαπόλεως. Schlumberger gives no text. For the original publication, see Castelli,Nova Collectio; the text was copied from this into CIG by Boeckh. Castelli identified this man with an Andreas who was duke of Naples in 844.
