Anastasios 30 was bishop of Samos; owner of a seal dateable to the seventh or eighth century: Laurent, Corpus V 1, no. 703 = Schlumberger, Sig., pp. 158, 259-260. Obv.: image of Divine Wisdom, personified, between the legends ἡ Ἅγια Σοφία and ὁ Θεοῦ Λόγος. Rev.: cruciform monogram of Ἀναστασίου with the legend επι - σκ - οπ - ου - Σα - μου. On the date see Laurent, op. cit., p. 533, note (where he also rejects the inference that seals with this iconography were peculiar to the island of Samos).
