Vir gloriosissimus, apo hypaton and patrikios, Anastasios 10 was topoteretes of the komes of the basilikon exkoubiton; in 680 and 681 he was one of the laymen who attended the Third Council of Constantinople (the Sixth Ecumenical Council); he attended all eighteen sessions; at those sessions where the emperor was present (one to eleven and eighteen) he is named seventh of the thirteen laymen in attendance; at those where the emperor was absent (sessions twelve to seventeen) he is named second of the four laymen present as representatives of the emperor (see Konstantinos 21): Riedinger, p. 14, line 27, p. 26, line 28, p. 30, line 28, p. 46, line 32, p. 160, line 30 p. 170, line 23, p. 180, line 27, p. 190, line 24, p. 262, line 24, p. 278, line 24, p. 400, line 24, p. 514, line 18, p. 570, line 3, p. 628, line 19, p. 664, line 28, p. 682, line 27, p. 752, line 23 (= Mansi XI 209, 217, 221, 229, 317, 321, 328, 333, 380, 388, 457, 520, 549, 584, 604, 612, 621, 625). He is styled Ἀναστασίου τοῦ ἐνδοξοτάτου ἀπὸ ὑπάτων πατρικίου καὶ τοποτηρητοῦ τοῦ κόμητος τοῦ βασιλικοῦ ἐξκουβίτου; the old Latin version printed in Riedinger, p. 15, etc. (= Mansi XI 210, etc.) calls him "Anastasio glorioso exconsule patricio et locum agente comitis imperialis excuuiti" (or similar). He and the three other laymen (see Konstantinos 21) were named by the emperor at the close of the eleventh session as his representatives: Riedinger, p. 514, line 18 (= Mansi XI 517).

Possibly identical with Anastasios apo hypaton, owner of a seal dateable to the second half of the seventh century: Seibt, Bleisiegel, no. 98. Obv.: Ἀναστασίου. Rev.: ἀπό ὑπάτων. If so, the seal antedates the time when he was patrikios and topoteretes.
