Anastasios 5 was bishop of Ticinum; he was one of the hundred and twenty five Western bishops who attended the Council of Rome at Easter, 680, and who subscribed the decree condemning monotheletism: Riedinger, p. 148, lines 25-26 (= Mansi XI 305-306) (Ἀναστάσιος ἐπίσκοπος τῆς ἁγίας ἐκκλησίας Τικένσου; the old Latin version printed in Riedinger, p. 149, line 21, calls his see "sanctae ecclesiae Ticinensis").
