In AH 20 (Dec. 640/Dec. 641) = 952 Sel. (640/641) 'Amr ibn 'As (Amr 6) captured Alexandria and Egypt: Elias, Chron., p. 133, 26 - p. 134, 2 = p. 65. In AH 21 (Dec. 641/Nov. 642) = 953 Sel. (641/642) 'Amr ibn 'As captured the city of Barka (Ptolemais, in Libya): Elias, Chron., p. 134, 10-14 = p. 65. He died in AH 43 (April 663/April 664) = 974 Sel.
