Amator 1 was bishop of Blera in Tuscia (Italy); he was one of the hundred and twenty-five Western bishops who attended the Council of Rome at Easter 680, and who subscribed the decree condemning monotheletism: Riedinger, II.2 156, lines 25-27 (= Mansi XI 313-314) (Ἀμάτωρ ἐλάχιστος ἐπίσκοπος τῆς ἁγίας ἐκκλησίας Βλεράνης ἐπαρχίας Τουσκίας; the old Latin version, Riedinger, II.2 157, lines 21-22, calls his see "sanctae ecclesiae Bleranae prouinciae Tusciae").
