Akrolios 1 was basilikos kommerkiarios of Thessalonike; owner of a seal dateable to the ninth century: Zacos and Veglery 3072. Obv.: cruciform monogram of Θεοτόκε βοήθει, with τω - σω - δου - λω in the corners. Rev.: Ακρολ - ιου β' κου - μερκ' Θε - .σαλ... The name and title read: Ἀκρολίου βασιλικοῦ κουμερκιαρίου Θεσσαλονίκης.
