Akindynos 1 was bishop of Panion (Thrace); owner of a seal dateable to the ninth or tenth century: DOSeals I 57. 1 = Laurent, Corpus V 1, 313. Obv.: bust of Virgin holding medallion of Child, with the legend [Θεοτόκε] βοήθει [τῷ σῷ δούλῳ]. Rev.: Ἀκινδύνῳ ἐπισκώπω Πανίδου.
