Agnellos 5 was bishop of Volsinii (Bolsena, in Tuscia); he was one of the hundred and twenty-five Western bishops who attended the Council of Rome at Easter 680, and who subscribed the decree condemning monotheletism: Riedinger, p. 152, line 22 (=Mansi XI 309-310) (Ἀγνέλλος ἐλάχιστος ἐπίσκοπος τῆς ἁγίας ἐκκλησίας Βουλσινιένσων; the old Latin version printed in Riedinger, p. 153, line 15, calls his see "sanctae ecclesiae Bulsiniensis").
