Adeodatos 1 was bishop of Formiae in Campania; he was one of the hundred and twenty-five Western bishops who attended the Council of Rome at Easter 680, and who subscribed the decree condemning monotheletism: Riedinger, p. 140, line 17 with p. 141, line 15 (= Mansi XI 299-300) ("Adeodatus gratia dei episcopus sanctae Furmianae ecclesiae prouinciae Campaniae"); the name of his see is garbled in the Greek text - ἐπίσκοπος τῆς ἁγίας ἐν Σάρμῃ ἐκκλησίας ἐπαρχίας Καμπανίας).
