Sissinios 6 was bishop of Nysa in Asia; in 681 he attended the Third Council of Constantinople (the Sixth Ecumenical Council) and was present at two of the last three sessions (sessions sixteen and eighteen, on 9 August and 16 September): Riedinger, pp. 688-826 (= Mansi XI 613-676). In the subscriptions to the statement of the faith, which condemned monotheletism, and to the Council, he is styled Σισίννιος ἐλέει Θεοῦ ἐπίσκοπος τῆς Νυσαέων πόλεως τῆς Ἀσιανῶν ἐπαρχίας (so Riedinger, p. 788, line 11 (= Mansi XI 648); Riedinger, p. 826, line 12 (= Mansi XI 676) reads: ἐπίσκοπος πόλεως Νύσσης ἐπαρχίας Ἀσίας): Riedinger, p. 788, line 11, p. 826, line 12 (= Mansi XI 648, 676). The old Latin version calls his see "
Still bishop of Nysa in 692, he attended the Quinisext Council in Constantinople and signed the canons: Ohme, Bischofsliste, p. 154, no. 77 (= Mansi XI 993) (Σισίννιος ἀνάξιος ἐπίσκοπος τῆς Νυσαέων πόλεως τῆς Ἀσιανῶν ἐπαρχίας).
