Severianos 1 was a Stoudite monk (one of the ἀδελφοί), mentioned in a letter written in or before 819 by Theodore the Stoudite (Theodoros 15); he had lapsed fom Orthodoxy (i.e. from the veneration of icons) and died before he could repent: Theod. Stud., Ep. 411, pp. 573-574.
