Koubikoularios, basilikos spatharios and magister of Byzacena; owner of seals dateable to the sixth or seventh century: DOSeals I 6.1. Obv.: Θεοτόκε bοετι Ιοαννη. Rev.: cubicu(lario) [i]np(eriali) sp(athario) et mag(istro) Buzac(e)na(e). The obverse is mostly in Greek letters, the reverse exclusively in Latin. There are similar seals to this, from different boulloteria, in Laurent, Vat. 91, and in Zacos and Veglery 2885. The title koubikoularios implies that he was a eunuch. Cf. also PLRE III, Ioannes 130.
