Anonymus 582 was the husband of Eirene 17 and father of Euphrosyne 4; he held office as strategos in Armenia and Graikia and became a patrikios (στρατηγίαι καὶ δημαγωγίαι καὶ ἐν Ἀρμενίᾳ καὶ ἐν Γραικίᾳ, τοῦ ὁμοζύγου λέγω, ἐπεὶ καὶ τὴν πρώτην στρατηγίδα εἷλεν ἐνταῦθα ὥσπερ καὶ τὴν πατρικιότητα ὁ ἀνήρ); he predeceased his wife, who then became a nun: Theod. Stud., Ep. 458, pp. 651-653 (c.821/826). "Graikia" presumably means the Byzantine Empire in general rather than the theme of Hellas specifically; Theodoros 15's letter suggests that Eirene 17's husband was made strategos first in Constantinople and later held office in Armenia. He was made patrikios in Constantinople (i.e. while at the imperial court).
