Anna 1 was the daughter of Leo III (Leo 3); she was betrothed to Artabasdos 1, apparently during the reign of Theodosios III (Theodosios 2), in order to strengthen the ties between her father and Artabasdos 1: Theoph. AM 6207 (unnamed). She married Artabasdos 1 after her father Leo 3 became emperor in 717: Theoph. AM 6209. She was the daughter of the emperor Leo III (Leo 3), sister of the emperor Constantine V (Konstantinos 7), wife of Artabasdos 1, and mother of Nikephoros 4 and Niketas 4 (or possibly just of Nikephoros, see Nikephoros 4): Nic. Brev. de Boor 59, Mango 64, Theoph. AM 6232.

Sister of the emperor Constantine V (Konstantinos 7) and wife of the emperor Artabasdos 1; she was banished with her husband and their nine children to the monastery of the Chora, after Constantine V (Konstantinos 7) had removed the monastic community and converted it to a lodging house for laymen: Vita Mich. Sync. 28. She was presumably the daughter of Maria 3. See also Rochow, Konstantin V, p. 201.
