Al-Zoubayr 2 was an Arab (Σαρακηνῶν) cavalryman outside Amorion in 716; he was one of three thousand cavalry sent by Sulayman 1 to try to capture Leo 3; when Leo 3 saw what was happening, it was al-Zoubayr 2 who tried to explain away their presence: Theoph.
